Injections
Due to start work as a clinic assistant next week. I was told that besides putting on PPE (personal protective equipment, which includes gown, mask and gloves), and I have to take a flu vaccination too. When I heard vaccination, in my heart, I was like going OMG. I don't really like injections, cos I had a particularly painful one when I was in primary 6. That was the LAST vaccine I took, and if I never remember wrongly, it is MMR injection. In my opinion, whether the jab is painful or not depends largely on the skills of the one giving it. I say that because I do not have any impression that suggest that skin test taken during pri 6 was painful. The BCG hurts a bit, but that was all - something like an ant's bite. The MMR injection on the other hand feels like the needle has gone INTO my bone. pain!!! I hope the one issuing the flu jab is skilful enough to shorten the painful experience :(
