Miss Toh showed us this video during GP lesson; Inspiring, so i thought tt i'll show it to u all. This video is abt a amazing father-son bond. Son, Rick Hoyt was born handicapped, and can hardly move, except brief movements he can make with his head. Thus, he can only communicate by this machine whereby he used head movements to type letters. Father, Dick Hoyt, was sure tt his son was as intelligent as anyone else, so he fought for his son's inclusion in society. He took his son to school, and went through 85 maranthons. For the Trilathons, he swimmed with a boat with Rick on it, he cycled with Rick sitting on the bicycle seat with him, and he ran with a wheelchair on which Rick is sitting on. Can you imagine that? Sure is tiring, and nothing but love has helped them through this journey. So the whole point is trying to tell people that, it's a Can's world. You CAN do it if u want to. Hope you enjoy this video, like i did... :)
(sighs the sad thing, we tend to exclude people we render "useless". wonder when will that ever change? aiming to see a world driven by cold hard cash to change to a world based on love and warmth.I'm sure that if each of us made a little effort to include people, instead of exclude, it can be done. everyone can make a difference.)
I'm getting increasingly nerdy! So if you are a fellow nerd and have a love for textbooks and shopping, do add me on msn: terrorist_gurl88@hotmail.com. :D
