chicken pox @ 1:03 PM

Something rather unfortunate happened to me. Right before chinese new year. tskk.

I AM DOWN WITH CHICKEN POX~~~~!!!!!!

Being the lazy me, I thought I could do some last minute shopping for new yr these few weeks and now i'm qurantined at home like a prisoner. Even the doctor also ask me to wait outside his clinic, cos he dowan other patients to catch my chicken pox virus, which is supposed to be highly contagious. =( By the time I recover, it wld be new year.... I wonder if all the scabs will be gone by then. And whether i got enough time to do my shopping... eeeks.

Let me tell you, having chicken pox at a mature age of 18 isn't a fun thing. Contrary to what others think, it wasn't itchy. It was an extremely painful event. I couldn't sleep because of the pain, and in any case, I had to wake up four hours each time to take antibiotics, including night time. So I had to get up every 11.30pm at night, every 3.30am in the wee hrs, every 7.30am in the morning, and so on, just to swallow that two big tablets.

Another thing, is the FOOD. Being an extreme food lover, now I'm reduced to eating porridge every day. grrrrrrr. I can almost hear my stomach crying for help.
A list of what I want to eat after I recovered:
1) Curry puff
2) instant noodles
3) Tuna
4) chicken wings
5) carrot cake
6) chocolates
7) Chilli!!
8) hainanese chicken rice
9) roti prate with extremely hot curry
10) Katong laksa

Not forgetting, with a two weeks mc, I gotta stay home until 11feb before I can return to work. And if by then, I still cannot recover, I have to take more days off... and that of cos indicate a loss of earnings. At least $500 plus can... The trip to the doctor isn't cheap either... it's like $129...Should have studied very very hard and become a doctor...hump.

Besides suffering physically, it is taxing emotionally as well. It just isn't a pretty sight to see every single inch of your body covered with numerous pox. yecksss. mine is a serious case ok. even the face also have. extremely risky cos it might leave scars, and for the violent sleeper I am, i really cannot guarantee that i will not scratch my face accidentally. sad case.

In addition, I think that having chicken pox makes one crazy too. I think I kind of lose my mind after 3 days of taking medicine. just yesterday night, I had a vivid adventurous dream of burning a house, and escaping with doraemon. I'm no longer a kid! Why am I still dreaming of cartoon characters??!

and the whining goes on.......

maybe until the day I recover.

But hey forgive me. It is an once in a lifetime kind of thing ok.

If you have any puzzles at home, can send to me. I'll try to piece it up.

Dvds and books are welcome!

And I wouldn't say no to a get well soon card. teeeheeheee.

yup that's all. a patient has to rest after all =)))))
