Baked my first batch of cookies using new oven today. oh did i mention that the oven was my birthday present for this year? *grins* The last time I baked, it was a complete failure. the whole disturbing episode just took centre-stage at my aunt's hse one fine evening a year ago. dun even noe if u can call it cookies. lolss its simply as hard as stone cos i dun think I've ever tasted a cookie that is even worse than that. since then, I've received endless incessant attacks on my baking skills by people. oh wells. that is part and parcel of life isn't it? sad life ppl leads. To criticise and be criticised. It doesn't even serve the common good. What an recurring vicious cycle! *exclaims*

let's not stray away from the topic. nothing, absolutely nothing is going to steal the limelight away from my cookie-making experience. uh...yes.

But first, im making a clarion call, that nobody is to criticise my cookies k? they may look plain and everything...but i dun think I can stand that kind of shame I endured a few years ago. *sighs deeply*

I purposely left out the process whereby im making the cookie mixture, cos its really an utter mess, and my mom is clicking her tongue at whatever I was doing at that point of time. ok, so I'm no great shakes at organising my stuff, cos i didn't even noe where the butter is (now i know though), but it still turns out all right. =)))

cookies baking in my new oven...lol u can't smell it, but it's really fantabulous.

i think this is the third fillial generation of cookies. the first (comprises of two sample cookies) was burnt. The second turns out like cup cakes. all soft and soggy, not unlike those sold by Subway. I've always detest soggy cookies... yep no matter how big or chocolatey they are. the third generation is my start of success. after that, all cookies are baked to perfection. all crunchy and nice... *drools* I ate a dozen i think, while packing the cookies up.

oh did u notice a funny shaped cookie in the third row, which is an incomplete circle? like somebody taken a bite out of it. cute right? I think it looks like Pac Man. people who used to play Nintendo Sega shld noe ba. A game ages ago.

Hmmmm. On second thoughts, I should apply the knowledge i've learnt in school on these cookies. errrrrs. mebbe it doesn't look like a Pac Man. It looks like a...a...nucleus of monocyte! yupps!

P.S.: the cookies are freaking delicious! =)))

After baking countless batches of cookies, I was dead beat and all that, cos everything was done manually, even the kneading of the dough, which has to be the worst. And I still have to wash up... and take it from me; washing up after baking was NEVER fun. require loads of detergent, and hard core scrubbing to get every single bit of left over cookie off.

Just baking cookies makes me so tired... *yawns* so i will not ever be a housewife, unless there are top-of-the-state equipment for housechores and a maid to help me out. lol or a combination of both. getting me a doraemon will solve the problem. wahahaha! im speaking intangibly again...

some random events that happened today:

-First time at Sakae Sushi for dinner. reasonably nice ba, i guess.

-learnt a new word; tenets - rules/guidelines.

-finally learnt how to spell hierarchy... been spelling it wrongly for years now.

-Portugal won England (?!)

till the nxt time, all.
