Went to the annual Biobiz conference on Saturday, and all of us had to wear our big names on our necks (see figure above). Actually, I thought Biobiz will bore me to tears with lots of scientific stuff, but surprisingly, I enjoyed the conference. The things they discussed on were of concern to us as Science students, and they did so with none of the heaviness that some lecturers carry with them. It was just like a refreshing, light-hearted conversation about our future in Science.
I think I found what I want to do in the future - which is to stay in the Science field :) Although the path may be difficult, I shall persevere on and pursue what I want. Contrary to some students who thinks working in a lab is boring and stuff, me, on the other hand, like the quiet environment in the lab, and those gentle hummings of the machines around. It gives me a kind of soothing feeling to be there, to know that I belong there. I'm sure that working in other environments will not bring that sense of satisfaction in me.
Thus, from now on, I shall work towards my goal towards my Scientist dream.
I'm getting increasingly nerdy! So if you are a fellow nerd and have a love for textbooks and shopping, do add me on msn: terrorist_gurl88@hotmail.com. :D
