This is Michelle from NTU, who has a blur queen personality and a love for biology.
Currently studying at the School of Biological Sciences.
I have my birthday celebration on 16 June every year.
Loves singing, reading, baking and eating.
Basically your good old plain Jane! :))
My sister to get a boyfriend New school bag Have A&W curly fries and root beer Donate blood New pair of pumps An overseas trip soon The tales of Beedle the Bard To push myself into First class honours Jog regularly Lose 2 kilos! Mend the emptiness in my bank account Golden flats from COTTON ON More tops! dresses light grey denim skinny Nice comfortable heels Trim my hair Belt Handbag/slingbag for going out Try charcoal mask Printer
It has been so long since I have the mood to bake. Baking is fun but the washing up that comes along with it is simply horrible~ zzz. If only there's someone to wash up for me, I don't mind doing baking everyday :))))
Anyway the speciality for today: One of my personal favourties.
The ingredients for the pastry. (I didn't take the ingredients for the custard cos I'm way too busy in between. Anyway it includes golden syrup, milk, sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and honey).
The butter took ages to melt. SO I took my own sweet time sifting the plain flour, which was kind of messy but fun. The uncooked custard in the half-baked pastry shell.
Back to the oven! The heat is really hard to control.
My first batch of egg tarts! There are big and bite-sized ones of course. It seriously smells delicious when it's in the oven. Of course, they weren't too bad once they come out too :)))
So it's quite an achievement that I do it ALL by myself yar??? (pls say yes........) From the purchasing of ingredients, to preparation, to baking, to sampling and to washing up. My mom simply refused to clear up for me :(
Oh did I mention I've got positive comments for these lovely tarts? lol. I think I might have talent in the kitchen. weeeetsss!
egg tarts apart, my first english lesson with the sec1 kiddo was quite disastrous I guess. First, she turns out to be a "he". Not that it matters, since he's really shy and quiet, like a girl. Ohhh and the whole lesson has to be 2 hrs and I've finished with my lot in one hr plus a few mins? I had difficulty teaching grammar and all these, cos it's basically intuition for me. thus it's quite a nuisance explaining the use of active and passive sentences.... and present participle and past participle for all that matters. sheesh. I dunno how to carry on teaching.
Camp's coming in a few days' time! A bit nervous, mainly becos I'm going alone? Fearful of being the odd one out, stuff like that, yeah. I do hope that it's gonna be fun~
I'm getting increasingly nerdy! So if you are a fellow nerd and have a love for textbooks and shopping, do add me on msn: terrorist_gurl88@hotmail.com. :D
